Christmas hug

A cute little addition to today's Christmas weblog.

My daughter and I arrived to church too late to find a parking space yesterday afternoon, so we went to today's second Mass. We sat in the very front row. As we waited for Mass to begin, we saw our pastor introduce his deacon to an entire line of people also sitting in the front row. The priest introduced them all by name.

At the passing of the peace, the priest went right over to the line of people he knew and hugged each one of them. Then he shook my daughter's hand and reached for mine.

I asked, "What? No hug?"

Father Tony laughed, opened his arms and gave me a huge bear-hug.
